Teach For Lebanon (TFL) is an NGO working to ensure that all children in Lebanon, regardless of socioeconomic background, have access to quality education. The model of Teach For Lebanon is an education innovation that focuses on youth capacity building to provide quality intervention and systemic support for students. TFL employs and trains Lebanon’s most promising graduates, “TFL Fellows”, and places them in schools serving underprivileged refugee and Lebanese children. These Fellows receive on-going training and support to address educational disadvantages by providing transformational teaching that places their students on a path of academic success. Along the way, they become leaders and advocates for a better Lebanon.

Role Summary

The Communications and Creative Manager develops creative visuals, concepts and content to provide a consistent, targeted and impactful messaging that effectively convey the organization’s impact and progress on its various platforms (social media, website, blog…). By closely collaborating with the different departments, the communications and creative manager sets and implements a yearly action plan and communication calendar to promote its activities, increase brand awareness and drive large scale support for the organization. Finally, the communication manager will ensure a consistent implementation of its brand image by all internal and external stakeholders across printed, audio-visual and, digital communication material..

 

 

Main Accountabilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Communication

·Manage the day-to-day digital communications activities of Teach For Lebanon on its various platforms (social media, website, blog, newsletter) through the creation of original visual and verbal content.

·Design and develop visuals and concepts for all communication related material (social media posts, supporting visuals, infographics, corporate profile, banners, campaigns …) to support all departments, programs and activities.   

·Develop and implement the communications strategy in collaboration with all departments to effectively convey the organization’s impact to its stakeholders and increase brand awareness and promote TFL’s activities.

·Lease with the communication team to and develop the organizations’ Above-The-Line (ATL) (such as roll-up banners, booth branding, promotional items...) and Below The Line (BTL)’s branding needs (such as stationery, presentation templates, corporate profile, certificate templates, office branding…).

·Design and develop branding elements to support specific projects’ needs such as illustrations, logos, color palettes, fonts, supporting graphics…).

·Ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are correctly implementing the brand’s identity across printed and digital communication material.

·Guide and review audio-visual content in collaboration with the project managers to convey TFL’s key messaging, in line with the mission and vision.

 

Management

·Provide support and guidance to the communications team in the form of detailed briefs and constructive feedback in order to produce strong content that best conveys TFL’s mission, vision and key messaging.

·Review and monitor national and regional marketing and communications tools and strategies in order to stay up-to-date with the latest approaches.

·Collaborate effectively with all departments of the organization to showcase impact and progress on projects by developing a yearly action plan and communication calendar.

·Draft and publish press releases and respond to press inquiries.

·Engage in the communication-related procurement activities by setting specifications and quality expectations and ensure quality control upon delivery of goods and services.

·Monitor insights, statistics and engagement indicators over the website and social media pages to document, analyze, and improve TFL’s reach and visibility.

·Send TFL’s monthly newsletter and update the list of contacts.

·Coordinate communications budget and expenses in collaboration with project managers, TFL executives and financial officer abiding by TFL’s set policies and procedures.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of communications and design in a reputable organization, ideally within a media, public or nonprofit institution.
- Proven track record in developing and leading comprehensive communications, media relations, marketing and online strategies, including experience managing social media outreach.

-Proficient in English and Arabic' French is a plus.

- Skilled in use of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Google Analytics, and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Web and graphics design (such as Photoshop and illustrator). 

 

Working Conditions

Location: The chosen candidate will be based in Ashrafieh Office. 

Package: Competitive salary based on experience with NSSF and Medical-Life Insurance benefits.

Other: Willingness to work some weekends and evenings to cover possible events.
