Job Announcement:
Terre des hommes - Foundation (Lausanne) is seeking 5 qualified Community Volunteers based in Saida, for its “Stand against Violence: Girls, Boys, and women at risk and survivors of violence, exploitation, and abuse have access to improved and equitable prevention and response services in South Lebanon” project.
In local context, the volunteers will have the knowledge and practical skills to carry out community based psychosocial support activities with street connected children at risk of vulnerability. The intention of this position is to build the resilience of most vulnerable children and youth through psychosocial support activities. The volunteers implement the activities in a manner that leaves considerable positive impact on children and youth and promote their wellbeing.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct outreach and disseminate the drop-in center activities in the community.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate psychosocial activities for street connected children and youth.
- Strengthening and improving the resilience and wellbeing of children at risk.
- Ensure that all beneficiaries participate in the activities that are non-discriminatory as well as age and gender sensitive and appropriate.
- Ensure that parents and caregivers receive frequent feedback about their child’s participation during the sessions.
- Work directly with CP team members in order to develop intervention, plans and follow up
- Ensure that the children/youth feel safe, comfortable, and respected all the time
- Follow up on children and caregivers with CP concerns in the Drop in center for the street connected children.
- Follow up on the attendance and MEAL tools of children attending PSS sessions.
- Safely identify and refer children with child protection concerns to relevant services (including child protection, formal education, Wash – Health – etc.).
- Report on challenges encountered, good practices and recommendations for the program.
- Attend all the trainings including (PSEA – Safeguarding – referral – etc)
- Ensure the safeguarding of children in the drop-in centers.
- CP and GBV mainstreaming as well as sensitization on CP and GBV.
- Report on challenges encountered, good practices and recommendations for the program.
- Conduct mobile and street activity with street connected children when needed.
Job Requirements:
- Academic Background: Schooling education: High School
- Experience: Driving experience
Additional Requirements:
- Good knowledge of and familiarity with the target areas, including local community and population habits and behaviors, public and private stakeholders, focal points or local leaders within the community, concentration of vulnerable population in specific areas.
- Home address must be close to the center where the drop-in center is implemented.

Reports to: Team Leader
Location/Travel: Daily attendance to the drop-in center or work from the field from 9.00 am until 3.30 pm.
