  Child Protection Policy: -     Commit to respect the Tdh Child Protection Policy and principles of child protection. -     Commit to ensure the best implementation possible of the Tdh Child Protection Policy in Lebanon. -     Commit to inform supervisors and to deal with any cases, allegations, or possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Tdh Child Protection Policy.   Main duties and responsibilities: General: -       Promotes, facilitates and encourages the achievement of the action planning objectives. -       Ensures that Tdh’s project actions or activities are non biased, neutral and inclusive of all actors present in the Palestinian and Syrian refugee context and the Lebanese context. -       Works directly in the field with children, families and stakeholders of the project locations he/she is allocated to. -       Is a Tdh focal point in the community and represents the organization. -       Facilitates, collects and reports information regarding the overall situation of the children and their families in the community, with specific attention paid to the project targeted children. -       Identifies, networks and connects child protection resources to the child, community and community structures -       Supports and assists in the network mapping of resources specific to the locations he/she operates in. -       Shares child protection resources and information both within the Tdh staff structure and the community he/she operates in. -       Promotes and ensures the principles of child protection and child participation are respected within the Tdh project and with identified child protection resources. -       Informs his/her direct supervisor about any difficulty met in Tdh activities implementation. -       Ensures a strict adherence to Tdh Child Protection Policy at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach, acts in the best interests of the child.   Specific duties and responsibilities:   Child Protection Resources: -       Identifies, liaises, promotes and when necessary identify and propose training needs to child protection resources with a view to strengthening their capacity to respond to child protection needs. -       Assists in the coordination and delivery of community child protection awareness raising events as determined by project objectives. -       Use the referral pathway tool, clearly identifying both formal and informal child protection resources.     Recreational activities: -       Acts in the best interest of the child. -       Assumes primary recreational activities responsibility to project targeted children. -       Conducts home based and neighborhood based recreational activities with targeted children and their families. -       Organizes and plans for recreational joint events, gathering children and adults from various communities. -       Supervises the recreational activities conducted by other NGOs supported by Tdh. -       Ensures a proper recording of number of children, adults participating, and activities delivered. -       Monitors the impact of the activities on children (outputs & outcomes) -       Promotes, ensures and establishes the child as a central actor in the activities thus promoting child participation and gender balance.   Relief distribution: -       Supports if needed the social workers in their distribution activities.   Reporting: -       Ensures data is collected and collated to prove the achievement of project objectives. -       Assists in the design, maintain and use data collection systems and punctual reporting to enable measurable results to prove the achievement of project objectives. -       Provides reports as required and directed by the Project Manager.   Non-Violent Communication: -       Adhere to the principles of the NVC process while in communication with all project actors, including colleagues. -       Ensure that conflict is addressed with the principles and process of NVC with all project actors and colleagues. -       Support and assume responsibility, if necessary, for conflict transformation activities and actions. -       Assist the Tdh T&D department regarding identification, referral and intervention in child protection related conflict events, mediation, training and coaching of resources when needed.   Project Neutrality: -       Ensures that Tdh’s project actions or activities are non biased, neutral and inclusive of all actors present in the Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese context. -       Reports any breach of neutrality, even if perceived but not true, to the Project Manager. -       Promotes and ensures that all actors, regardless of political or non-political affiliations, are aware of Tdh’s project’s neutrality and activities with all actors in the context.     The animator is also responsible for complying with all Tdh procedures regarding logistics, administration, security and with the anti-fraud/anti-corruption policy.
