Organization Overview :        Since its creation in 1960, the mission of Terre des hommes (Tdh) has been to come to the aid of children in need. It endeavors at all times to defend the rights of children, in times of war and natural disasters, or in less publicized situations of distress. Today, Terre des hommes Foundation is a significant force among children’s aid organizations in Switzerland and throughout the world. Tdh has development projects and emergency relief programs in more than 30 countries in two core areas: healthcare and child protection. Every year, Tdh offers sustainable solutions and a better future for over one million children and their relatives   Child Protection Policy: -     Commit to respect the Tdh Child Protection Policy and principles of child protection. -     Commit to ensure the best implementation possible of the Tdh Child Protection Policy inLebanon. -     Commit to inform supervisors and to deal with any cases, allegations, or possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Tdh Child Protection Policy. Job description: Provide projects with technical support (collaboration with program managers, PMA’s and operational teams, support / participation in training players) Develop a dynamic links between Tdh projects and delegations in his/her field both within Tdh and externally (working in a network, centres of expertise and working groups, etc...) Strategy and Policy Contribute to the development of the delegation's intervention strategies alongside the HR Manager, Program Coordinator and the Program Manager Assistants. Make sure that the Tdh policy strategy and policy are implemented in his/her field Research and Development   Identify and share information, research, best practice in the projects and the relevant tools used in his/her field with the HR Manager and  program coordinator Initiate discussions on improvements to be made in his/her field Personnel Management / Team Management Communicate and collaborate in accordance with the communication contract and participate in implementing it Exchange information with his/her line manager on a regular basis and assist with circulating information following normal communication channels Help develop synergies within the delegation Participate in technical manager meetings Together with the PMA’s, define intervention methods according to the specified objectives Bring forward proposals in his/her field of activity Skills development Be responsible for his/her own continuing training to develop his/her skills Identify the training needs of the project teams in his/her area of practice Take part in training sessions and extraordinary meetings initiated by superiors Suggest training modules in collaboration with the project leaders Develop appropriate tools and training modules Lead training sessions for project teams Continually identify any new guidance requirements for the teams Organise training on the tools and techniques connected with his/her field Proactively advise and support area leaders and colleagues Demonstrate listening skills, flexibility, self-control, analysis and reasoning in situations Share and, if necessary, create planning, monitoring and evaluation tools which can be adapted to different projects Help the teams to use the tools and develop them further. Budget (EN) Assist in drawing up the budget for the action plan Adhere to current budget guidelines and the budget, and ensure they are followed  Advocacy - Representation – Networking Identify positive and innovative experiences in the zones and share them with his/her peers and line managers In general, make sure that a positive and professional image of the Foundation is conveyed. In particular, ensure that the Foundation's mandate, ethics, values and views are followed in relation to third parties. Represent Tdh at strategic meetings in their field of intervention If necessary, build up a relational network with the other NGOs which operate in the same field of activity.   Information / Publications / Communication / Reporting (EN) Create external communication tools Draw up the monthly and annual activity reports Initiate and follow up a data base for employees’ trainings.  Project Cycle Management Support the PMA’s in using proper methods for collecting project data Values In his/her professional activities, adhere to the values defined in the strategic plan: commitment, expertise, integrity and self-reliance Work in different cultural backgrounds and in difficult situations, deal with confrontation due to differences (intercultural) Abuse Prevention Policy (CPP) - Operational Risk Management Comply with the Child Protection Policy, Safety Policy and Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy Report any breach observed in the framework of this policy during his/her professional activities both as regards the proven or suspected offence and a preventive breach. Project Neutrality: Maintaining Tdh neutrality during the implementation of any activities, and ensuring equal participation of all parties. Reports any breaches of neutrality, even if perceived but not true, to the line manager. Promotes and ensures that all actors, regardless of political or non-political affiliations, are aware of Tdh’s project’s neutrality and activities with all actors in the context   Logistics: Adhere to Tdh policies and procedures of purchasing, delivery and quality of product Adhere to Tdh and donor policies and procedures to supplier quoting and stock control Ensure good standards of security and cleanliness are maintained in the project site offices   Administration: Adheres to Tdh policies and procedures of purchasing and accountability Adheres to Tdh staff regulations Reports to the HR Manager.   Security: Ensures the timely and punctual reporting of security incidents and/or information to the line manager and Security Coordinator. Promotes a security aware culture in the workplace Ensures proper follow up of Tdh security plan and instructions.     Specific Tasks   Tdh Intern Development Scheme Responsible for the daily management  of interns placed within the various functions within Tdh Lebanon In coordination with the HR manager and training manager builds the construction and monitors the individual intern’s learning plans and intern projects while on placement within Tdh Lebanon. Supports the HR manager in record keeping of each intern’s performance history with Tdh Lebanon   Tdh Staff Capacity Building and Development In coordination with the HR manager identifying training and development needs within the organization through job analysis, annual performance review documents and regular consultation with PROGRAM managers and PMA’s Designing, developing and deliver child protection, child/youth participation, nonviolent communication, logistic, using TDH manuals Ensures that the training and development programs are  based on both the organization’s and the individual's needs, and be ready for residential trainings works in a team to produce programs that are satisfactory to all relevant departments in the organization Supporting line manager in developing effective induction programs; Responsible for the delivery of training and development programs, and works with the HR Manager and Training manager on designing a training strategy for the organization;   With the support of the  HR and Training managers organize and develops Tdh library   Tdh projects training support Delivering training programs for Tdh projects community leaders, using the adult learning methods.  Considering the costs of  training planned programs and keeping within budgets as assessing the return on investment of any training or development programs is becoming increasingly important; Producing training materials for in-house courses; Design a training evaluation forms. Coaching and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires. ensuring that statutory training requirements are met; In collaboration with the HR manager evaluate TDH training and development programs; To keep accurate training records that are comprehensive and up-to-date.   Training Resource Information Management and Development Support the Training team for the construction and maintenance of a complete and extensive training resource data base, which should include, at the minimum, a list of training venues in and around Tyre, external training resource people/organizations, logistical support actors for training, etc… With the support of the HR and Training mangers involve in the  development of a Tdh library (electronic and hard copies) on training and coaching methodologies, practices and topics of interest to Tdh Lebanon Forms links and develops ideas to promote practice based information sharing of Tdh’s training and program specialization with relevant Lebanese and Non Lebanese child protection focused organizations or institutions.    Project(s) Co-operation Liaise regularly with PMA’s on the training and development needs of Tdh employees to meet the needs of projects Liaise regularly and define responsibilities of the Tdh Training and Department to individual project’s training and coaching requirements Identify and share with program managers assistants and/or staff any resources which can assist project workers to meet the objectives of the project(s)   Staff Capacity Building: Coordinate the induction training for the new employed staff through the arrangements with the line managers and the trainers. Following the induction plans and ensuring the completion of the trainings and keeping the records in a clear and accessible ways. Providing the HR Manager with copies of the induction trainings records. Conduct a regular training needs assessment for Tdh staff in coordination with program and departments’ managers to identify desired skills, capacities and competencies for the staff. Organise a staff capacity building plan that responds to the SCB needs assessment in coordination with internal and external trainers Develops and updates individual training file for each staff that tracks all the trainings attended by the staff either internal or external in addition to the training needs and response plans. Be the focal point for the external communications regarding the trainings invitations. Coordinate with the PMA’s to select staff to participate on the external trainings after referring to the SCB needs assessment as well. Ensure that the logistic preparations are on place when sending Tdh staff to external trainings. Collect and keep training reports from staff who participates on the external trainings. Be in charge of updating the toolbox in coordination with programs and departments’ managers, training staff and direct line manager. Ensure that all involved staff has the toolbox and understand its contents. Develop internal learning initiatives such as but not limited to the best practice system Develop systematised process for running the learning initiatives Ensure the presence of an internal learning environment that enables staff to share experiences and knowledge.   Non-Violent Communication: Adhere to the principles of the NVC process while in communication with all project actors, including colleagues. Ensure that conflict is addressed with the principles and process of NVC with all project actors and colleagues.
