The CP Technical manager is in charge to oversee and manage the technical unit and ensure the sound technical level of technical guidelines produced.
Duty Details
- Support technical officers in identifying training and development needs for Tdh staff and for partners,
- Develop a training strategy for the organization;
- Validate all training materials developed by technical officers
- Ensure that staff implement and respect best-practice and international standards in CP prevention and response
- Support and validate the quality of the work done by the teams as regards the Tdh mandate and commitments and international standards.
- Collaborates and coordinate with regional Programm coordinators and Thematic Advisors at the headquarters to develop and validate the thematic strategy in line with the Tdh strategic commitments
- Support, design and/or validate M&E tools to track and measure output and outcome following traini
- Contribute to the development of proposal activities in relation to case management
- Contribute to the development of all project strategies, steering and outcomes.
- Support identification of technical support needs for missions, the formation of the terms of reference with all associated elements;
- To keep accurate training records that are comprehensive and up-to-date.
- Develop a Tdh library (electronic and hard copies) on training and coaching methodologies, practices and topics of interest to Tdh Lebanon
- Form links and develop ideas to promote practice based information sharing of Tdh’s training and program specialization with relevant Lebanese and Palestinian child protection focused organizations or institutions.
- Together with the HR Manager arrange and plan for the induction of new employee
- Ensure the Quality of lessons-learned, research, publications, studies, produced
- Link trends and learning within projects,
- Support advocacy through networking with key stakeholders and spread the results of data,
- Actively participate in technical working groups meetings as per needs and redirect the needed programs and messages to the staff and share the meeting results with involved staff.
- Coordinate and develop national measures for dialogue and partnership with state, national and international partners.
- ·strengthen and develop synergies with government institutions, UN agencies, NGOs and local organizations.
- Fosters the correct communication and visibility of the projects and of Tdh
- Lead, advise, support and supervise the members of the technical team
- Organize meetings with the technical team and coordinate with the other projects
- Together with HR, write the job descriptions for the employees in the technical unit and have them validated by the Head of Delegation/coordinator
- Assist with the periodic appraisal of the staff under his/her direct responsibility and pass on the appraisals and recommendations to the Coordinator or the Head of Delegation
- Identify the human resources requirements and make suggestions to his/her direct superiors
- Draw up roadmaps according to the job descriptions of the employees
- Actively engage in all capacity building opportunities including formal trainings, on the job coaching and peer to peer sessions.
- Provide briefings on child safeguarding and appropriate behaviour with children. Ensure any concerns are reported and addressed immediately.
- Submit timely technical monthly reports
- Conduct the child protection interviews in coordination with the HR Manager.
- Respects the Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP) and its principles of child protection,
- ensuring the policy’s implementation and prompt notification of the CSP Focal Point with any information regarding potential breaches of the policy;

Position requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work, Social Science, Humanitarian/ NGO management; Child protection related fields; International Development or Affairs, Finance, Business or related field; Advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years work experience with INGOs or NGOs
- Proven experience in child protection
- Demonstrated experience in capacity development, mentoring and staff development.
- Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and child protection standards
- Demonstrated organizational, team management and reporting skills;
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proven ability to work well in and promote teamwork, thrive in a multi-cultural environment, be flexible and handle pressure
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic are required; French is a plus.
