  About Terre des hommes Lausanne Since its creation in 1960, the mission of Terre des hommes (Tdh) has been to come to the aid of children in need. It endeavors at all times to defend the rights of children, in times of war and natural disasters, or in less publicized situations of distress. Today, the Terre des hommes Foundation is a significant force among children’s aid organizations in Switzerland and throughout the world. Tdh has development projects and emergency relief programmes in more than 30 countries in two core areas: healthcare and child protection. Every year, Tdh offers sustainable solutions and a better future for over one million children and their relatives.   The cleaner will sign and adhere to Tdh’s Child Safe guarding policy. Job Responsibilities: Communicate and collaborate in accordance with the communication contract Regularly exchange information with his/her manager   Communicates in a kind manner on positive and negative points and shows punctuality (meetings) Handles his/her emotions (is responsible for his/her emotions) Communicates professional needs in a clear, concise and responsible manner Responds constructively to inquiries Keeps informed and informs about his/her activities Is appropriate in his/her intercultural communication   Be responsible for his/her own continuing training to develop his/her skills   Participates in any internal and external opportunities offered in order to expand his/her field of skills Identifies / expresses his/her needs for development of skills     Keeps him/herself informed of the budget data for his/her activity and respects the limits defined   Ensure that the buildings for which s/he is responsible are clean and hygienic Maintain the garden (collect waste), and the flowers inside the building Wash up the crockery Provide services before and after coffee and lunch breaks during training workshops. Keep the kitchen facilities and toilets clean Wipe down all the delegation furniture Clean the doors and windows Occasionally prepare meals for the delegation at the request of the Head of Delegation   Is proficient in the languages relevant to his/her position Maintains an updated documentary database Is proactive and rational in the realization of administrative and/ or logistical activities where he/she is in charge   In his/her professional activities, adhere to the values defined in the strategic plan: commitment, expertise, integrity and self-reliance Criteria for performance evaluation:  Makes his/her words and deeds conform with one another Acts in the interests of Tdh Refers to Tdh’s know-how in the implementation of projects Contributes directly or indirectly to Tdh’s autonomy in his/her missions and projects Demonstrates autonomy Behaves appropriately and in a way compatible with Tdh’s values and objectives Respects others, is impartial in his/her work and demonstrates ethical behavior Shows integrity and honesty in all his/her activities Develops his/her professional autonomy and follows developments Takes all necessary measures to avoid being caught up in any process contrary to the Foundation’s ethics and fundamental choices Shows determination and proactivity in his/her professional commitment   Comply with the Child Protection Policy, Safety Policy and Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy Report any breach observed in the framework of this policy during his/her professional activities both as regards the proven or suspected offence and a preventive breach. Criteria for performance evaluation:  Anti- fraud and Corruption Policy Keeps informed, receives briefing in case of business trip Knows and is able to explain the following policies: Child Protection Policy (CPP) Security Policy (Security, Safety, Health, Stress) Whistle Blowing Policy Adapt his/her behavior appropriately to accord with the policies concerning him/her Reports any suspect or recognized action that is contrary to the policies of the Child Prevention (CPP). Reports any incident related to other policies concerning Operational Risk Management   Carry out any other tasks requested by his/her direct line-manager or by the Head of Delegation. Criteria for performance evaluation:  Shows availability and adaptation in his/her work and is able to face up to the unexpected Copes with business trips for a mission in the field and is well organized for them
