Main Duties:
- Ensure GBV prevention and response is adequately addressed across sectors and humanitarian interventions.
- Work with Tdh partners and staff to implement mitigation measures to better protect children.
- Closely coordinating with relevant staff on S/GBV protection issues.
- Conduct Field Visits on weekly basis as advised by the line manager.
- Following up on the progress of the S/GBV prevention and response plans
- Provide technical support to maintain high quality inputs and outputs in the GBV in program implementation.
- Manage and assist in implementation of work plans for GBV related activities in coordination with the area managers.
- Ensure proper documentation of case management/GBV cases, develop GBV data base.
- Conduct and/or attend tdh case management meetings related GBV at least once a month.
- Prepare and conduct trainings and capacity building programs for Tdh staff and partners on GBV.
- Attend the area and national interagency GBV coordination meetings, share the result of the meeting with tdh concerned people
- Develop in coordination with the Case Management officer tools and materials needed for GBV.
- Respects the Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP) and its principles of child protection, ensuring it’s the policy’s implementation and prompt notification of the CSP Focal Point with any information regarding potential breachs of the policy;
- Is aware of, abides by and promotes the practices and values set out in all other Tdh policies and procedures such as the Internal Regualtions, Standard Operating Procedures and other policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social sciences, Public Health, International Development or other relevant field of study.
At least 3 years of experience as a team leader in an NGO, preferably in GBV programs;
3-5 years of experience in GBV and protection programming, including GBV, early marriage, women’s voice and/or economic empowerment;
Familiarity with Child Protection and MHPSS frameworks and approach preferred;
Proven experience of promoting practical and impactful social and gender justice initiatives, community based protection initiatives around GBV, early child marriage among others to development and humanitarian action programs
Strong understanding of the Lebanon political, legal, and social systems as related to GBV and refugee protection as well as demonstrated experience in working in/collaborating with civil society
Familiarity with national and international standards and guidelines for GBV programming and coordination.
