Under the overall supervision of Technical Unit Manager, the GBV and Child Marriage Technical Specialist will be responsible to provide technical advice and training to the program throughout Lebanon and to develop related strategies, models of action and guidelines.
Job Main Duties:
- Lead on the development of the GBV strategy for Tdh in Lebanon.
- Develop GBV support materials and tools based on both the project needs and the interagency guidelines and contextualised to the needs.
- Producing training materials for in-house courses on GBV and social norms related aspects, and developing effective induction programs
- Responsible for the delivery of training and development programs on GBV and social norms related aspects
- Coaching and reviewing the progress of trainees
- Helping line manager and other technical officers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
- Ensure that staff implement and respect best-practice and international standards in GBV prevention and response, whilst ensuring they are contextualised to the needs of beneficiaries.
- To keep accurate training records that are comprehensive and up-to-date
- Attend cluster meetings (GBV Task force) and redirect the needed programs and messages to the staff and share the meeting results with involved staff.
- Submit timely technical weekly and monthly reports
- Contribute to the development of proposal activities in relation to GBV
Knowledge, skills, ability:
- Proven working experience in capacity development, mentoring and staff development.
- Familiarity with Child Protection and MHPSS frameworks and approach preferred;
- Proven experience of promoting practical and impactful social and gender justice initiatives, community based protection initiatives around GBV, early child marriage among others to development and humanitarian action programs
- Strong understanding of the Lebanon political, legal, and social systems as related to GBV and refugee protection as well as demonstrated experience in working in/collaborating with civil society
- Familiarity with national and international standards and guidelines for GBV programming and coordination.
- Strong understanding of humanitarian protection principles and standards
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Demonstrated writing skills in English
