Six qualified Community Volunteers (all based in the Jezinne area)

Job Announcement:

Terre des hommes - Foundation (Lausanne) is seeking six qualified Community Volunteers (all based in the Jezinne area) for one of its Leading Projects “Improved protection environment for Lebanese and Refugees girls and women exposed to Gender-Based Violence in Jezzine”

In local context, the Community Volunteer will be responsible for supporting the team, the facilitators, and community mobilizers with the activities and sessions.

Developing the materials to be used in the awareness sessions and implementing the agenda agreed upon with the project team. The volunteers should be able to assist adolescent girls acquire the skills theoretically and support them in practical work.

The volunteers are required to have the following skills:

  • Good communication skills to explain ideas clearly
  • The ability to meet deadlines
  • Follow through the CSP and PSEA ethical obligations

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the identification and coordination of outreach events and activities including community events related to prevention, social behavioral change, and networking meetings to help connect the community with CP/GBV services for both external and internal community members.
  • Assist the peer-to-peer mobilization and enhance the protection of the target group.
  • Work closely with Tdh’s Community Mobilizers to receive technical support and guidance.

Reports to: Project Manager

Location/Travel: Jezinne and surrounding area.
