Call for Participation: Child Protection Capacity Building Trainings for Local NGOs and CBOs – Hermel District
Terre des Hommes Italy is pleased to announce a series of capacity building trainings on key child protection topics to be held within the first 2 weeks of July 2025. These trainings aim to strengthen the capacities of local NGOs and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) working in child protection and related fields (education, emergencies …).
Trainings dates and venue will be shared with the selected participants.
Training Topics Include:
- Basic Child Protection & PFA.
- Introduction to Case Management.
- SBCC (Social behavior change in the community).
- TDHITALY Community-Based Psychosocial Support (CBPSS) Manual and Facilitation skills.
- Disability Inclusion in Child Protection.
Objectives:
- Enhance the skills and knowledge of local staff in child protection practices.
- Improve the quality, safety and inclusiveness of services delivered to children and families.
- Promote the localization approach by empowering local actors during a time of increasing needs and rising numbers of newcomers.
- Strengthen referral systems, community-based protection mechanisms and community resilience.
Eligibility Criteria:
Interested CBOs should:
- Have proven experience in at least one of the following sectors: child protection, education, and emergency response.
- Have consistence experience of implementation within Hermel district (1-2) years.
- Demonstrate commitment to full participation in the training days (at least 1–2 participants should be available per day, depending on the training topic).
- Ensure that nominated participants have experience in field implementation with children and communities, particularly in one or more of the training topics listed above.
