Adult Literacy Teacher

The teacher will deliver the following courses Face to Face or Remotely:

• Adult Literacy classes
• Life Skills sessions for the adults

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare lessons and instructional activities based on adults’ interest and ability level

• Plan classroom and home assignments to support students’ understanding course objectives and basic skills literacy
• Implement integrated Literacy and Life skills lessons as per the directions of the Adult Literacy Focal Point, Education Technical Officer and CP in Edu Officer;
• Stimulate class discussion and ensures students engagement
• Provides tutoring and academic counseling to students
• Delivers assessment methods that allow all students to engage with the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
• Maintains a safe and comfortable environment for the students
• Records student’s classroom attendance, reporting any absences
• Provides weekly, or quarterly academic reports
• Responsible for submitting daily timesheet to the line manager
• Participates in the trainings and follow up meetings conducted by TDH It Team
• Contributes to the ongoing operations of the centers in any other way required
