Area Coordinator

Terre des Hommes Italia (TDH IT) is recruiting an Area Coordinator to support the implementation of an Education project that aims to provide university scholarships, mentoring and follow-up to Syrian Refugee students funded by UNHCR. Duties and Responsibilities: • Be the referent person for the activities related to the project in Beirut area. • Liaise with the target Universities and to be the representative of TDH IT with the Universities. • Coordinate with UNHCR BO Beirut and Field Offices, Education partners, TDH IT Education, Representatives from the academia. • Be the focal point for the Syrian refugees’ students. • Be responsible for the communication with students and individual support. • Be in regular contact with the students via: - On-campus visits - Phone and email/social media (Facebook, Whatsapp group) - Creation of student committees (in coordination with UNHCR and Education Partners) - Regular monthly meeting of the regional committees. • Support students, coordinate with Education Partners, to undertake volunteering activities like homework support. • Program regular visits to the activities to ensure the quality of the project supporting in the process of monitoring and evaluation. • Providing timely and detailed reporting of project activities to the Project Coordinator. • Timely identify, inform and discuss any issues with the Project Coordinator. • Work closely and effectively with TDH IT Lebanon staff.
