Caregivers Animator

INTRO Terre des Hommes Italy, non-governmental international organization, is recruiting a Caregivers Animator to be involved in the implementation of the project: “Strengthening Protection for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese girls and boys and their caregivers through quality prevention and response services”.  Role and Purpose: The Caregivers Animator has the knowledge and practical skills to carry out positive parenting program and life skills activities with caregivers.   Key Duties and Responsibilities: Implement positive parenting program and life skills activities according to the caregivers’ needs and situation and according to specific Parenting Program curriculum inside and outside the centers; Promote and ensure the caregivers’ participation in all activities; Support in the outreach of the beneficiaries; Ensure CP policy during the transportation of the beneficiaries to the centers; Positively interact with caregivers and encourage them to express their needs and ensure their safety; Ensure that the activities are done in an appropriate location in line with minimum standards, Ensure participation of caregivers in the parenting program in a non-discriminatory as well as age and gender sensitive and appropriate approach; Ensure that the caregivers feel safe, comfortable and respected during activities; Collects and documents feedback on the implementation of the methodology including challenges and lessons learnt; Ensure that all children and caregivers are aware of any accountability/ complaint mechanisms; To participate to the weekly meetings with TDH IT Staff, to share lessons learned and exchange experiences; Respect and abide to the organization’s internal code of conduct and child protection policy. Ensure sector specific tools as well as any specific organization assessment tools are implemented; Develop individual and group progress report and maintain a filing system of caregivers respecting confidentiality; Collect attendance of participants in the activities, and fill in weekly reports as required;  Qualifications and Experiences: University degree in psychology, social work, education and/or other social science related courses At least 1 years working with caregivers Previous experience in working with refugees and vulnerable population, preferable Excellent communication and facilitation skills (including active listening) Good in written and spoken Arabic - Knowledge of English is an asset Flexibility in working hours and willing to work in volatile environments
