Child Protection Officer - N. Bekaa

Within the framework of the initiatives promoted in North Bekaa to support the resilience and well‐being of children affected by Syrian crisis through community based, structured activities conducted in a safe, child friendly and stimulating environment, funded by UNICEF, TdH-It is looking for 1 Child Protection Officer to join our team in order to support the project activities carried out. The intervention envisages, among the other, a Child Protection Component to be realized in North Bekaa with the expansion of activities in place since 17 months, through setting up and running of 4 Child Friendly Spaces (2 in Aarsal, 2 in the Bekaa Valley, between Laboué e Fekehe-Jdaide) which will benefit a total of 9,000 children who will be Providedwith opportunities to play and receive social support; Receivesupport to their resilience and well‐being through community based, structured activities conducted in stimulating environment; through mobilizing communities for the sake of their protection; Receive focused attention and special care in case of vulnerability. Main tasks and responsibilities: Thechild protection officer will be in charge of coordinating the implementation of activities in 2 Child friendly spaces in the area of Arsal. Apply and systematize child protection standards, code of conduct and. in coordinated CFSs Perform all Planning, organizational, monitoring and administrative tasks in coordinated CFSs on regular basis in collaboration with the Project Manager and PsychosocialOfficer (PM/PSSO) Perform regular assessment of the activities' quality of implementation and content Provide necessary technical support and documentation to enhance and sustain the activities' quality of implementation in collaboration with PM/PSSO Refer beneficiaries requiring special care to outreach team, and follow up the referred cases' conditions in collaboration with the SW Reports to the PM/PSSO on regular basis on both technical and organizational level Ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems are in place, support staff in all monitoring processes and provide monthly and weekly reports on progress of activities in the centers. Closely coordinate  with the PSSO and Health officer, the other CP officer to  ensure effective delivery of age-appropriate activities in the CFS Organize monthly meetings with Animators and Volunteers, to share lessons learned and exchange experiences Establishing and maintaining a weekly and monthly work plan which will include monitoring visits to the CFS activities on a weekly basis Write weekly and monthly reports Ensure the collection of quality data Share information on field-level successes and challenges with the team Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the Protection Officer Experience and requirements Experience required three (3) years minimum Education degree: Bachelor or University Degree in education, psychology, social work, sociology, or relevant field Experience in working with children mandatory Experience in working with children in emergency preferably Field work experience Mandatory Management experience mandatory Three (3) years of relevant work experience in the area of child protection preferably including case management and psychosocial activities Experience in working in NGO preferable Fluency in Arabic mandatory and conversation and written English an advantage Knowledge of child protection standards Proficient in Word and excel
