Child Protection Project Manager-North Bekaa

Main Purpose of the position: Responsible for the overall implementation of the Child Protection initiatives in North Bekaa area by planning, coordinating and monitoring project activities in accordance with grant agreements and TDH quality standards.

Mission 1: Contributes to the definition and the execution of TDH IT Politics, Positionning and Strategy.

  • Ensures the application of the global TDH IT Strategy and Policies in your scope, area of work, relying on the different TDH IT documents  (charter, strategic planning document, …)
  • Participates to the definition of the new strategy of TDH IT, together with the Program Manager.

 

Mission 2: Participates to the execution of the Child Protection Project

  • Excellent and precise knowledge of the TDH IT Child Protection Project. The Project Manager knows the challenges, logical framework and different indicators;
  • Assists the team with your expertise in the domain;
  • Develop Technical guidelines
  • Have a good vision of the needs. Be able to plan ahead any need of recruitment or diminution of staff.

Mission 3: Overall coordination of the project staff in line with TDH standards and procedures providing technical and operational supervision to the Project Coordinators and CEO;

  • Deploys the TDH standards and procedures within your project.
  • Ensures all the staff of the project have the correct manager identified, have yearly (project) objectives and that all the HR Cycle is correctly followed.
  • Liaises with the Support Functions when needed.

 

Mission 4:  Organizes and leads the Project Leading Committee in charge of the planning and implementation of the project activities. The PLC is made of the key staff to plan and develop activities (Project Coordinators, Community Empowerment Officers, Field Officers, partners focal points).

 

Mission 5:  Coordinates with the Delegation. The Project Manager is the representative of the delegation in your project. You therefore must coordinate regularly with

  • Ensures flawless communication and full knowledge of all the stakes and the project;
  • Follows the right direction and informs the Program Manager about all the important information;
  • Regular Communication with the Child Protection expert to request the needed technical support to ensure case management team is adequately supported in the provision of case management services throughout all the steps.

Mission 6: Representation & Coordination

  • Upon request from the supervisors, ensures and coordinates the sectorial representation (e.g. Child Protection, Child Protection Working Group) in the area which he/she is responsible for among partners, donors, authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Ensures an efficient coordination with the other components of the project.

Mission 7: Monitoring and evaluation.

  • Coordinates with the M&E staff to ensure the continuous monitoring of the activities under your management including qualitative and quantitative monitoring;
  • Ensures that proper policy, standards & codes of conduct are enforced.

Mission 8: Capitalization, reporting and communication

  • Assists the Program manager and/or the Country delegate in providing sufficient and detailed information for program reporting for donors and HQ.
  • In charge of the weekly and monthly project reports;
  • Ensures the compilation of the monthly data for the upload in the TDH IT follow up tool.
  • Participates in the donor’s reports (The final one and the intermediary ones);
  • Share with the Program Manager and Child Protection Specialist all the needed information for the technical follow up of the project.

Mission 9: Manages a team

  • Participates in the recruitment process of the team member;
  • Ensures that all team members have an updated TOR and are appraised at least every year;
  • Follows up on personal activity or development plans;
  • Handles all the HR issues related to the team.
