Job description including qualifications and competencies:
The new project of Terre des Hommes Italy (TDH IT) Strengthening Protection for Syrian refugees and Lebanese vulnerable girls and boys and their caregivers through community based activities building up their resilience, and provision of Case Management services intends to:
Support the strengthening of the local and decentralized structures within the Ministry of Social Affairs (MOSA), the Social Development Centers (SDCs), to deliver emergency assistance, including child protection and family support services to vulnerable children and their caregivers affected by the Syrian Crisis (North Bekaa and Mount Lebanon).
Support the resilience and wellbeing of Syrian refugees and Lebanese vulnerable girls and boys and caregivers through center based and mobile non-focused PSS and outreach activities (North Bekaa and Mount Lebanon).
Provide Case Management (North Bekaa) and focused PSS intervention for children at risk or survivors of abuse (North Bekaa and Mount Lebanon).
Empower communities to identify Child Protection priorities, resources, needs, and solutions in order to promote community participation and engagement. TDH IT will continue to support local committees (CP Unit and CP Committee) created in each area of intervention to foster the active participation of the communities (North Bekaa and Mount Lebanon).
Major Responsibilities:
Follow-up, lead or co-lead the community meetings, and assist committees in project development and the submission process.
Develop, strengthen and maintain the relations with other local Civil Society Organizations.
Supervise the work of the Community Facilitators as well as follow up on their mobile schedule.
Supervise the conduct of FGDs with host and refugee communities to identify common priorities for a particular area in coordination with M&E Officer. Monitor project implementation on a regular basis and participate in periodic reviews of the program, providing support where needed.
Supervise PSS project implementation within the community and the monitor process in coordination with M&E Officer.
Plan trainings and workshops for the municipality, local authorities and community members.
Inform communities of project value—both monetary and social impact--and provide regular to the Field Area Coordinator.
Responsible of data entry for all the documents.
Assist in preparation for an evaluation report about the different projects highlighting strengths, weaknesses, achievements, issues for all projects implemented and implementer’s capacity.
Qualification and Experience:
Minimum of one year's recent relevant experience (within the past three years) of working within hosting and refugee community environment.
Minimum one year's recent relevant experience working to address Child Protection behavior and issues.
Experience of partnership working with voluntaries, community members, other agencies, and local authorities.
Awareness and recent experience of issues impacting on hosting and refugee community.
Experience in conducting trainings
Knowledge of CPMS and CP services provided.
