Community Facilitator

A community facilitator will engage with the community, partners and stakeholders to facilitate information provision, awareness and training sessions. The community facilitator will also support social workers and case workers in identification and referral. Major Responsibilities: To maintain regular contacts with the local stakeholder, with a specific focus on Syrian Community residing in the area, Lebanese local Community and Local Authority. To conduct Community Outreach activities (home visits, focus group, community meetings). To support in the preparation of special events, recreational, cultural and sport activities together with project staff. To give help and support the CM staff To participate in coaching and training sessions. To participate in the preparation, execution and organization of Awareness sessions. To assess the needs of beneficiaries and to contribute to the establishment of a referral system. To maintaining regular contacts with the referral organizations and other stakeholders, to feed back the referral system. To report any kind of abuse. To plan and request the material needed for the activities of the CM team Keep a database of stakeholders and local partners To comply with the TDH-It Code of Conduct Any other task relevant to the position.  Other Collaborate closely with the other members of the CM team and the CP team Regularly attend CM meetings at field level Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to management and  liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for programs Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct Job Requirements: Education: technical or university degree on social and behavioral science, preferable social work or any other related field Work Experience: 1 year work experience in child protection programs in development or emergency, preferable community mobilization or facilitation or social work Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable  Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:  Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoy field work Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children Good communication skills Time management and organizational skills Others:  Microsoft Office: Word and Excel is a must Valid Lebanese driving license A car is an asset
