Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute in preparing relevant documents (including brochures, information notes, information board updates) for target communities;
Organize and conduct the OV’s (outreach volunteers ) meetings and trainings on monthly basis in collaboration with education coordinator and UNHCR;
Monitor OV’s tasks and referrals;
Develop a paper concerning educational tools, best practices and way of implementation of education activities in collaboration with the education coordinator to be used as TDH IT reference document in Lebanon;
Participate into the planning of the education activities including focus groups, awareness sessions, trainings, and others; in cooperation with the Education Coordinator;
Providing timely and detailed reporting of project activities to the Education Coordinator;
Timely identify, inform and discuss any issues with the Education coordinator and Project Manager;
Represent TDH IT towards local, national and international institutions and organization according to the PM indications and in line with TDH IT’s project strategy concerning education;
Participate in coordination meetings with national and international institutions and education working group where appropriate;
Analyze technical added-value and project impact; set up technical evaluation exercises during and following implementation.
Work closely and effectively with TDH IT Lebanon staff;
Qualifications and experience:
•A university degree is required. A background in education, social work or community services or equivalent areas is preferable.
•Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills including.
• experience work in the field of education or child protection.
•Well-developed knowledge of local and refugee community cultures through prior involvement in the community.
•Good knowledge of the community resources within the municipality/school district.
•Familiarity with interview techniques; familiarity with local social agencies available to deal with problems in the area.
•Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English and Arabic sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position.
•Proficient in the operation of computers and knowledge of business support software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
•Commitment to the aims, principles and values of TDH IT.
•Ability to work well in a team and under pressure and in response to changing needs.
•Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
•Availability of personal car and driving license.
