Terre des Hommes Italy, non-governmental international organization, is recruiting an IT technician in order to maintain the computer systems and networks of Beirut Office.
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
Provide support either face-to-face, phone call, site visits
Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware or software faults
Replace hardware parts as required
Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
Support the roll-out of new applications
Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
Work continuously on a task until completion (or escalates it, if appropriate)
Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time
Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment
Troubleshoot LAN and Landlines Cabling issues
Experience required:
University degree in Computer Science or related field;
At least 2 year of experience as an IT Technician;
Previous experience working in NGOs is desired;
Excellent communications skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds;
Demonstrated attention to detail; ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently as well as cooperatively with team members;
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability;
Language/s (and level required: working language skills, good, excellent, writing skills): Good English
