Logistician (L/ml/unhcr)

The Registration and Profiling project is targeting the Syrian refugees who are looking to access to UNHCR registration point in order to benefit from the provided services on health, education and protection levels. For this, 8 Information Offices are been established in 6 districts in collaboration with the Local Authorities, local associations and the schools involved in the educational component of TdH programme in Mount Lebanon. The information desks serves as mechanism to collect the applications of refugees that wish to be registered with UNHCR or those who are seeking guidance or support to benefit from the implemented services in Mount Lebanon.   Main areas of responsibility The logistician will assist TdH Project Manager in the implementation and co-ordination of the Project in terms of: Administrative tasksto keep records, writing letters and archiving as well as undertaking procurement tasks. Field tasks to supervise the transportation and the outreaching days. Planning tasks to support the field officer in designing an outreaching strategy. Specific duties: Assist the Project Manager in monitoring the achievement of the target; Assist the field officer in supervising the outreach work. Organize awareness sessions for the Syrian refugees on the Benefit of registration once need it. Support TDH staff in identifying vulnerable beneficiaries. Qualifications and skills: University degree in business or relevant degree. 2 Years’ experience in this field. Works sites experience Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) with an excellent command of Excel Good knowledge of English and Arabic languages, both oral and written Previous experience in working with national/international NGOs is an advantage Personal qualities: Ability to work both independently and within a team Excellent communications skills Ability to work in different cultural environments   Job Description: Assist the Project Manager on keeping records, writing letters and archiving; Assist the Project Manager in designing visibility items; Assist the Project Manager in monitoring the Time sheets of the Staff; Provide quotations and good prices for the needed supplies and collecting invoices and so on; Provide services on mechanical handing requests if any; Monitoring the time effectiveness of the transportation trips; Support TDH staff in identifying vulnerable beneficiaries; Participate in designing the outreaching strategy as well as stakeholders’ mapping; Conduct visits to the UNHCR registration point to support TDH-Italy team during the registration process; Conduct visits to the field to supervise the outreach mapping and networking; Provide logistician support to the 8 Information Offices; Plan vehicles’ routes and manage the logbooks; Coordinate with TDH-Italy Program Manager and Project Managers on different aspects of distribution, storage and movement of goods (internally or externally); Ensure efforts to protect the Beneficiaries confidentialities; Meet the requested deadlines and to work under pressure; Commend great respect to the culture, religion, view and political affiliation without any judgment; Show a full understanding and compassion to the emotional traumas which the Syrian refugees are going through; Ensure a strict adherence to TDH-It Child Protection Policy at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach; Attend the scheduled Monthly Meetings.
