Logistician (L/nbekaa/unhcr)

Logistician   Within the framework of the initiatives promoted in the Bekaa Governorate in support of people affected by the Syrian crisis and funded by UNHCR, TdH – It is looking for Logistician to assist in the implementation of the project.   Main duties and responsibilities 1)       Coordination/Supervision   Under the supervision of the Programme Manager, work in coordination with the Project Officers, the Finance Officers and the Field staff in order to ensure the achievement of the objectives of TdH It Delegation in Bekaa Region. Ensure correct and continuous data flow and support to the Programme Manager to prepare and submit regular progress reports or other specific reports when requested. Following the Programme Manager’s request and consent, liaise with local authorities, other focal points and any other relevant stakeholders informing about the activities implemented by TdH It in Bekaa Region.   a)       Direct Supervisor and Coordination Program Manager and/or (or any other person indicated by the PM) Coordination with Field Officer and Administrative Office b)       Reporting Weekly update to the PM Monthly schedule Other reports on demand   2)       Logistics   Follow up of TdH It vehicles assigned to Bekaa Region staff (wash, fuel, periodic/non-periodic maintenance, communication with suppliers, etc.). Support TdH It Bekaa Region staff in filling the logbooks. Support TdH It Bekaa Region Office in procurements, following the correct administrative procedures, in coordination with Programme Manager and Administrative Department (identification of suppliers and/or contractors, delivering and collection of ITB, support the selection committee, check of delivery notes and goods, etc.). Support field and office TdH It Bekaa Region staff in daily activities (purchasing of goods/services, utilities payment, guest house and office maintenance, etc…). Support in translation for TdH It Programme Manager and any other international staff when required. Assist during TdH It distributions as per instructions received by/through the line manager Collect required information and needed data related to TdH It projects. Deliver documents or goods to TdH It Offices in Lebanon. Drive local or expatriate staff to TdH It areas of interventions in Lebanon, according to daily needs and ensuring timely implementation of actives Liaise and coordinate according to instruction and needs with the other logistic/procurement offices/department/person in the other offices of TdH It in the country Facilitate the data/information/ communication and other items circulation amongst the TdH It offices and department within and outside Bekaa, Update periodically the inventory of TdH It assets in Bekaa Region, provide visibility to them and check the maintenance. Support field officers in updating TdH It warehouses inventory and update periodically the Programme Manager. Follow up of local procedures to obtain permissions to implement TdH It activities in Bekaa Region.   3)       Safety/Security   Support the Program Manager (or any other person indicated by him/her) in the regular assessment and follow up of the safety and security situation in Bekaa Region, including proving him/her with, regular updates Support the Programme Manager with local information and dataflow in order to enhance the enforcement of safety and security for all TdH It Bekaa Region staff in the area of intervention. Liaise with Security staff in Beirut and Tyr TdH It Office when required. Attend safety/security meetings and prepare safety/security reports to be shared with Programme Manger. Liaise with other INGOs, UN Agencies, governmental bodies, local authorities, institutional partners to collect, with discretion, information and trends concerning security and safety in the TdH It areas of interventions. Receive, verify and forward to Programme Manager incidents reports, prepared by the staff when they occur   4)       Other Duties   Any other duties as may be assigned by the Programme Manager and agreed upon.   Qualifications, experience and competencies   -          At least two years of experience working with INGO in the region -          Good writing skills -          Capacity to work in team and flexibility to take on new tasks -          Strong social and communication skills -          Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds -          Fluency in English and Arabic. Knowledge of Italian language is an asset. -          Driving license required.   Conditions Full time job of 40 hours per week, distributed in five days according the needs of the program.
