Duties and responsibilities
- Manage the implementation and the development of TDH MEAL strategy and plans and the established compliance mechanism in the area
- Develop MEAL tools and indicators, according to the Country MEAL guidelines and the donor requirements, in coordination with the Country MEAL Manager
- Supervise the data collection in the field, ensuring the coordination among relevant staff, the quality of the data collection and its compliance with the MEAL guidelines and with the donors requirements
- Train field, project and partner staff on data collection through the defined MEAL tools
- Supervise the field visits, spot-checks and MEAL activities in order to ensure that the activities are closely and well monitored
- Perform data quality checking and data analysis on regular basis
- Provide relevant timely updates against the projects Logical Framework, sectoral indicators (including ActivityInfo) and according to the MEAL guidelines and to the donors rules;
- Finalize monthly reports and analysis reports (including need assessment), according to the reporting deadlines and the projects/Delegation needs
- Provide evidence-based recommendations to the relevant managers and partners
- Regularly attend meetings with the MEAL and project teams and coordinate across different Department, areas and component to ensure an effective MEAL implementation
- Regularly attend, on behalf of TDH IT, sector/cluster and inter-agency meetings
- Support audits and external evaluation exercises
Qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Sociology, Political Science, Statistical Science or a related field;
- 5 and more years of relevant progressively responsible professional experience, including at the field level, in the NGO system;
- 5 years demonstrated experience implementing M&E programs in emergency or post-conflict projects;
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative/qualitative data collection and analysis and in reporting;
- Experience in child protection and education fields is an asset;
- High proficiency in Micorsoft Office and Kobo/ODK;
- Knowledge of SPSS is an asset;
- Strong personnel leadership skills, particularly mentoring skills;
- Experience in working with a diverse team;
- Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, flexibility, ability to improvise, team player; Ability to live and productively work under stress and in insecure and harsh environments.
