Duties and responsibilities
- Support the implementation and the development of TDH MEAL strategy and plans and the established compliance mechanism
- Maintain and constantly develop MEAL tools and indicators
- Train field, project and partner staff on data collection through the defined MEAL tools
- Actively support the data collection in the field and coordinate with the field staff, in order to ensure that the data collection is performed on timely manner and in line with the related Guidelines and Plans
- Conduct regular field visits and spot-checks in order to closely monitor the progress of the activities and the achievement of the results
- Conduct Focus Group Discussions and interviews targeting field staff and direct/indirect beneficiaries to assess the outputs and outcomes of the implemented activities
- Perform data quality checking and data analysis on regular basis
- Provide relevant timely updates (reports) against the projects Logical Framework, sectoral indicators (including ActivityInfo) and according to the donors rules;
- Regularly attend meetings with the MEAL and project teams and coordinate across different Department and component to ensure an effective MEAL implementation
- Support audits and external evaluation exercises
Qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Sociology, Political Science, Statistical Science or a related field;
- 3 to 5 years of relevant progressively responsible professional experience, including at the field level, in the NGO system;
- 3 years demonstrated experience implementing MEAL programs in emergency or post-conflict projects;
- Experience in child protection and education fields is an asset;
- High proficiency in Micorsoft Excel and Kobo/ODK;
- Knowledge of SPSS is an asset;
- Strong personnel leadership skills, particularly mentoring skills;
- Experience in working with a diverse team;
- Demonstrated experience using international data management standards in INGOs programming;
- Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, flexibility, ability to improvise, team player; Ability to live and productively work under stress and in insecure and harsh environments.
