Outreach Volunteer

The Outreach volunteer will be based inside one of TDH IT’s educational community centres, in Beirut and Mount Lebanon region. He/she will hold the following responsibilities:

  1. Outreach and identification of out of education children or at risk to drop out;
  2. Support the distribution of Snacks, stationeries and furniture in TDH IT centres and in public schools, and monitoring after distribution
  3. Conduct household needs assessment regularly;
  4. Support in data entry;
  5. Support the Area Coordinator with logistics tasks (when needed); i.e. the organisation of educational materials, water, food etc. in the centre;
  6. Support project visibility to raise awareness of activities and promote the success of activities being carried out in the local community.
  7. Participate in MEAL training on the use of tools and processes.
  8. Ensure that all required documentation from outreaching fieldwork is prepared professionally and is properly filed.
  9. Conduct continuous follow-up with families in the case of child absence or risk of drop out to ensure retention in activities.
  10. Liaise with local community stakeholders, in coordination with Field coordinator and Networking officer, to build the organization acceptance, to facilitate smooth project implementation.
  11. To report to Area Coordinator the challenges faced on field level and suggest the solutions. To gain the trust of children so that they may report difficulties or problems to you, which you can refer to the Area Coordinator.
  12. Any other duty assigned by your Line Manager.
