Outreach Worker (Baabda District)

Main areas of responsibility The Outreach Worker will assist TdH Project Manager in the implementation and co-ordination of the Project in terms of: • Taking in charge the mapping of the Syrian refugees in the identified villages. • Designing an outreaching strategy in collaboration with the Field Officer. • Cooperating with stakeholders and Local NGO’s to ensure a massive coverage to the unregistered Syrian refugees. • Guiding the Refugees to the implemented services in the area, when requested, and registering Refugees complaints Specific duties: 1. The Outreach Worker is in charge of conducting vulnerability assessment to the identified beneficiaries and collecting accurate data on daily basis. 2. The Outreach worker is undertaking the implementation of the outreaching strategy as well as the stakeholders’ mapping. 3. The Outreach Worker might assist the Focal Point in organizing and monitoring the Transportation day as well as ensuring the protection of the beneficiaries on that day. 4. The Outreach Worker has to ensure efforts to protect the Beneficiaries confidentialities. 5. The Outreach Worker has to meet the requested deadlines and to work under pressure. 6. The Outreach Worker has to commend great respect to the culture, religion, view and political affiliation without any judgment. 7. The Outreach Worker has to show a full understanding and compassion to the emotional traumas which the Syrian refugees are going through. Qualifications and skills: • University degree as Social worker or any other equivalent diploma. • Works sites experience • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) with an excellent command of Excel • Good knowledge of English and Arabic languages, both oral and written • Previous experience in working with national/international NGOs is an advantage Personal qualities: • Ability to work both independently and within a team • Excellent communications skills • Ability to work in different cultural environments Job Description: • Operate TDH-Italy Information Office in the relevant District in line with the executive tasks; • Assess the unregistered Syrian Refugees in the relevant District by filling in the Pre-registration Sheets and UNHCR Registration Forms; • Coordinate with the Focal Point in order to plan a strategy on how to reach the Syrian Refugees and to manage the received information on the location of the existing families from TDH-Italy Network (Local Authorities, Stakeholders, NGO’s…) ; • Mobilize refugees to register to UNHCR and ensure 75% of the required target set by UNHCR; • Inform the Syrian refugees about UNHCR registration process and benefits of the registration; • Inform the Syrian refugees about UNHCR and its partners’ services related to health, education and protection; • Submit on daily basis the completed Pre-registration Sheets and the UNHCR Registration Forms to the Focal Point; • Observe, detect and report to the Focal Point the cases of refugees with specific needs to fast truck registration and others intervention related to child protection; • Assist the Focal Point in transporting the Syrian refugees to the UNHCR registration point upon request by Project Manager; • Organize, with the support of the Area Coordinator, information and awareness sessions; • Ensure a strict adherence to TDH-It Child Protection Policy at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach; • Attend the scheduled Meetings.
