Objectives: To manage the psychosocial intervention of TDH IT in Mount Lebanon and North Bekaa.
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
the Child Protection/Psychosocial project cycle by planning, coordinating and monitoring project activities in accordance with grant agreements and TDH IT quality standards;
Organizing and leading the Project Leading Committee (PLC) in charge of the planning and implementation of the project activities. The PLC is made of the key staff to plan and develop activities (Project Manager, Financial Officer, Project Coordinator, Child Protection Advisor, etc.)
Coordination of the project staff in line with TDH IT standards and procedures, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff (in particular the Project Coordinators) to successfully perform in their positions;
Monitoring the implementation process to ensure the achievement of project deliverables in terms of cost, time and quality.
For the effective allocation of financial resources towards implementation to the project activities in line with the Planning (overall, quarterly, monthly) agreed at Program level;
Develop quarterly and final project reports for the donor and HQ;
Develop and maintains relationships with relevant stakeholders (e.g. local and national government officials, donors, UN agencies and other NGOs) and represent TDH IT at inter-agency and cluster meetings;
Participating in the security analysis and set up of the procedures;
Support the effective coordination with other TDH projects/program/components within and outside the program;
Establish an efficient remote control mechanism in case of not accessible areas due to security reasons;
Any other task relevant to the position.
Qualifications, experience and competencies:
University Degree in humanitarian affairs, social science, law, development studies, psychology, human sciences or relevant field.
At least 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in humanitarian affairs, human rights, child protection, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief or rehabilitation or other related area with a minimum of 2 year experience in management of emergency response or humanitarian relief context (though experience in a development context is also highly regarded).
Good command of Arabic and English.
Able to work in unstable, uncertain or potentially dangerous environments, independently and in a team.
Strong cross-cultural communication and resilience skills are very important.
Experience in supervising and mentoring other staff.
Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds.
