Duties & Responsibilities:
· Be the referent person for all community facilitators providing foreign language sessions.
· Support in identifying children enrolled in second shift schools who are in need of language support in coordination with the school principals and education team.
· Support in establishing foreign language groups in coordination with the education team.
· Program regular visits to the foreign language groups to follow on the performance of community facilitators in the process of monitoring and evaluation.
· Follow up on the capacity building of the community facilitators in coordination with other education partners or institutes.
· Establish and maintain an effective relationship between the community facilitators, the caregivers and the school principals to prevent retention.
· Establish and maintain an effective relationship between, community facilitators, education team and the other education partners.
· Engage and facilitate community meetings focus groups, awareness sessions and campaigns, and trainings in cooperation with the Education Team.
· Ensure monitoring of project implementation in accordance with the Logical Framework.
· Ensure data collection and sources of verification.
· Contribute to prepare relevant documents (including brochures, information notes, information board updates) for target communities.
· Providing timely and detailed reporting of project activities to the Education Coordinator.
· Represents TDH IT in field base multi agency and overall interagency cluster where appropriate.
Qualifications and experience:
· A university degree is required. A background in communication, education or community services or equivalent areas is preferable.
· Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills including.
· Well-developed knowledge of local and refugee community cultures through prior involvement in the community.
· Good knowledge of the community resources within the municipality/school district.
· Familiarity with interview techniques; familiarity with local social agencies available to deal with problems in the area.
· Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English and Arabic sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position.
· Proficient in the operation of computers and knowledge of business support software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Commitment to the aims, principles and values of TDH IT.
· Ability to work well in a team and under pressure and in response to changing needs.
· Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
· Availability of personal car and driving license.
