Social Worker

Intro TDH IT is looking for a Social Worker in order to cover the needs of Syrian Refugee and vulnerable Lebanese children manly in Junieh area within the Child Protection (CP) intervention of Terre des Hommes Italy (TDH IT) “Strengthening Protection for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese girls and boys and their caregivers through quality prevention and response services” in Mount Lebanon.   Major Responsibilities: To identify and refer protection risks cases; To support the Community Facilitator in coordinating CP activities in the project’s areas; To support in the outreach phase of the project including identification of vulnerable locations and assessment of the families; To plan and organize assessment of needs and outreach activities; To organize regular awareness sessions and CP activities in coordination with the Community Facilitator; To refer - internally and externally, beneficiaries in need of special care according to referral pathways; To refer children attending Community based activities to TDH IT Case Management Team and/or external agencies in coordination with the Community Facilitator and CE Officer; To participate to the weekly meetings with TDH IT Staff, to share lessons learned and exchange experiences; To ensure proper documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies); To write weekly reports in collaboration with the Community Facilitator and the CE Officer; To share information on field-level successes and challenges with the project team; To comply with the TDH IT Code of Conduct and Visibility Standards;   Key Working Relationships:   Position Reports to:  Community Facilitator and Community Empowerment Officer Technical reference/Indirect Reporting:  Child Protection Officer/Expert Collaborates with: CP team Other Internal and/or external contacts: Project Coordinator/PM Internal: other members of TDH IT programs in the field   External: local partner –Other NGOs/INGOs   Qualifications and experience Degree in social and behavioral science, preferable social work or any other related field At least 1-year work experience in child protection programs in development or emergency, preferable social work or case management Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoy field work Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children Good communication skills Time management and organizational skills Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus Microsoft Office: Word and Excel is a must
