Teacher

The teacher will be deliver one or more of the following classes Physically or Remotely:

1. Basic Literacy and Numeracy (ages 10– 14) classes;
2. Foreign Language courses (English or French)- beginner to intermediate levels;

Key Responsibilities

• Implementing qualitative educational support to the children benefiting from the educational programs.
• Planning and implementing lessons as per the directions of the Education Focal point and Education Technical Officer; preparing materials requests for lessons (stationery, photocopies, videos …) one week in advance
• Preparing a file for each child as per the directions of Education Focal point and Education Technical Officer, monitoring their educational and developmental progress, suggesting and implementing extra supportive actions where needed.
• Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the child.
• Keeping an ongoing positive communication with the parents.
• Teaching and educating students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care.
• Deliver assessment methods that allow all students to engage with the curriculum and achieve their full potential (learner-centered methodology).
• Record each child’s classroom attendance, reporting any absences and highlighting any absences which require follow-up by the outreach staff.
• Support the CP and Edu Focal points in conducting the life skills sessions.
• Actively supervise students when on playground duty during face to face implementation.
• Responsible for submitting daily timesheet to the line manager
• Participate in the trainings and follow up meetings conducted by TDH It Team.
• Contributing to the ongoing operations of the centers in any other way required.
