Volunteer-North Bekaa

• Assist, develop and implement age- appropriate recreational and psychosocial activities for children and adolescents in their community
• Assist in delivering specific skills building activities with adolescents including but not limited to life skills, community projects etc.
• Ensure that all beneficiaries participate in the activities that are non-discriminatory as well as age and gender sensitive and appropriate.

• Provide feedback to the organization’s focal point on the types of activities to be developed for children and adolescents in the community
• Actively participate in trainings delivered by the organization
• Identify children at risk of harm or being harmed and refer them as per the procedure to the organization’s focal point 
• Ensure that the children feel safe, comfortable and respected
• Ensure that the activities are done in a clean and hazard free location
• Ensure that the material appropriately used and later stored in a safe way at the end of the day
• Respect and abide to the organization’s internal code of conduct and child protection policy
• Collect attendance of participants in the activities, and report as required

• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required Profile:

• A minimum of 1 year of volunteering experience, including at the field level, in the NGO system, particularly inside Syrian communities
• Experience in child protection
• Good skills in Microsoft Excel and word.
• Experience in working with a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, flexibility, ability to improvise; Ability to live and productively work under stress and in insecure and harsh environments.
• Commitment to the aims, principles, and values of TDH IT.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable to the needs of the team and organization
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal relationships
• Familiarity in the field distribution
