Experienced Consultant

T.E.R.R.E.Liban is requesting the services of an experienced Consultant to assist our team under Baladi project, perform several technical sessions and trainings about the treatment of household waste in municipalities, especially waste organics that are more than 55% of municipal waste CONTEXT:The USAID BALADI project is a five-year program that extends from September 2012 until September 2017 and seeks to encourage innovation in service delivery by local governments. This project is implemented by Caritas Lebanon in nine Lebanese districts in partnership with T.E.R.R.E.Liban. It sponsors an in-kind competitive grants program that responds to governance and economic opportunity needs. All planned activities under this project should be compliant with USAID rules and local regulations. SCOPE OF WORK The Consultant must: Prepare power point presentations for the capacity building and awareness sessions on: 1-    How to promote sorting at source 2-    How to implement a municipal treatment center (sorting, composting, and packaging) Submit the sessions content and materials to TL president for approval. Conduct five capacity building and awareness sessions to grantees, subcontractors and counterparts in Kahale, Saida, Sour, El Qsaibe and Ainata upon BALADI TL team request. Report to BALADI TL team after each session. CONDITIONS The consultant has to abide by the terms of the contract. The consultant has to coordinate with BALADI T.E.R.R.E.Liban team to inform on the progress of the work and the difficulties faced. Any changes for any reason must go through formal channels of official correspondence. Intellectual property belonging to BALADI program. The consultant will be assisted, and accompanied sometimes, by BALADI team. The consultant has to respect deadlines.   REQUIREMENTS: Experience in training and capacity building Experience in the following fields: waste management.
