Senior Networking Specialist

1.                  BACKGROUND
 T.E.R.R.E.Liban, as an Intermediate Support Organization (ISO) on the Environment and Solid Waste Management Issue Network “LANE” (Lebanese Advocacy Network For Environment), under the Civic Engagement Initiative - CEI component of Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment Capacity Building – BALADI CAP Project through a sub award issued by Counterpart International, Inc. as a part of the USAID-funded BALADI Program, is coordinating, supporting and promoting “issue networks” of CSOs, around the following advocacy area : Environmental Protection and Solid Waste Management.

 2.                  PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
 T.E.R.R.E.Liban is seeking the services of a Senior Networking Specialist under CEI Component – Baladi Cap project to assist the members of LANE “Lebanese Advocacy Network For Environment” in designing the vision, strategy, strategic objectives for the network in the short to medium term.

 3.                  SCOPE OF WORK
During the period of performance the Senior Networking Specialist will perform the following activities in close coordination and cooperation with the Project Director and the Project team:
Assist the network members in designing the mission, vision, strategy and strategic objectives of the network.  
Provide a strategy, a vision and strategic objectives for the network.

 5.                  QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s Degree and/or Ph.D. in NGOs/CSOs Management, Leadership or related areas.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience related to advocacy, capacity building, strategy, organizational development, networking, or related areas.
• Previous experience working with civil society organizations (preferably, Lebanese CSOs).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 6.                  WORK DURATION
 The work duration shall not exceed 8 working days including materials preparation, workshops and reporting tasks starting July 23rd, 2018.
