Public Health Officer - Maternal and Newborn Health

1. Objectives

• Enhance maternal and child health programs by developing, implementing, and monitoring public health initiatives.
• Support data-driven decisions to improve health outcomes for mothers and children.
• Collaborate with local health agencies and communities to align program goals with community needs.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Program Development and Implementation
  • Design and implement maternal and child health interventions that align with CRD's strategic goals.
  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops for local health workers and community leaders.
• Data Collection and Analysis
  • Gather and analyze data on maternal and child health indicators.
  • Use findings to guide program adjustments and recommendations to enhance impact.
• Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Establish monitoring frameworks to assess the effectiveness of health initiatives.
  • Provide regular progress reports and highlight successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Coordinate with local health authorities, NGOs, and community organizations to foster collaboration.
  • Represent CRD in public health forums, advocating for maternal and child health priorities.
• Resource Mobilization
  • Identify funding opportunities and support proposal writing efforts for maternal and child health initiatives.

3. Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maternal and child health programs.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection and program evaluation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with public health software and data management tools.

4. Competencies

• Knowledge of maternal and child health challenges and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic Languages.
