Qualitative Researcher

Mandatory Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, analytical and organizational skills
• Collaborative and constructive team member
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment
• At least 3 years of experience in qualitative research or UN/NGO experience which included report writing
• Expertise in one of the following thematic areas: child protection, vulnerable communities, conflict resolution, livelihoods, gender, or public health
• Demonstrated strong writing skills in English
• Strong presentation skills
• Fluency in English, Arabic a plus
• Knowledge of qualitative analysis software (Nvivo, Dedoose) a plus
• Examples of published research a plus

Tasks

• Conduct qualitative research including literature review, research design, tool design, analysis and discussion, and generation of recommendations
• Conduct monitoring and evaluation studies
• Assist qualitative research lead in research design, research analysis, presentations, and report writing
• Assist in coordination of field team
• Lead trainings on new projects and research tools with field teams
• Conduct field research in the form of FGDs, KIIs, case studies, and observations
• Collaborate with quantitative research team on mixed methods studies
• Assist in business development including conceptualization of new research studies and proposal writing
• Organize project files, data, and documents
• Attend meetings with project partners
