About LTA

The Lebanese Transparency Association - No Corruption (LTA) was established in 1999 with the aim of reducing rampant corruption in Lebanon, promoting the principles of transparency and accountability, establishing the rule of law and respecting the fundamental rights inaugurated in international laws and the Lebanese Constitution, by focusing on systematic improvement, building alliances, and encouraging civil society organizations to take measures towards transparency and accountability. LTA later became the national chapter of Transparency International (TI).

LTA has worked to enhance transparency in the public and private sectors in Lebanon for more than a decade, by implementing a number of projects that ranged from contributing to the development to lobbying the anti-corruption laws (such as the draft law on the Right to Access to Information, the Whistleblowers Protection Law, the Asset and Interest Declaration and the Punishment of Illicit Enrichment Law etc....), and the monitoring of parliamentary and municipal elections since 2009, in addition to other projects aimed at empowering youth and municipalities on issues related to good governance …

LTA was chosen as a member of the first Independent Oversight Board (IOB) for the Reform, Recovery and Reconstruction Framework (3RF), which was launched in response to the aftermath of the Beirut Port explosion.

To promote transparency and integrity as well as prevent and fight corruption through collaboration, advocacy and active engagement, in public, private and non-governmental organizations.

 

Scope of work

The ideal candidate is familiar with conceptualizing characters from the ideation phase to sketching, into the final creation and should be comfortable working with computer graphics tools, and using them to create storyboards for the three (03) videos. The candidate will also have a proven record of delivering artistic work to client specifications and within the required timelines.

The subject of the three (03) animation videos is about the Beneficial Ownership Regime in Lebanon.

 

Key job responsibilities

  • Liaising with LTA Media & Coms Unit regarding the style, method and execution of the animation to be produced;
  • Preparing illustrations or rough sketches of materials, including storyboards to assist in staff visualizing end of product during planning and development of project;
  • Developing storyboards based on the script;
  • Designing backgrounds, sets and other elements of the animated environment;
  • Designing frames and characters;
  • Choosing color palettes, style and general look of animation;
  • Delivering both videos on time according to the deadline mentioned below.

 

Qualifications

  •  4+ years of 2D animation;
  •  Bachelor’s degree;
  • Very good knowledge of tools and methodologies essential to developing 2D animation;
  • Knowledge of standard industry animation production processes;
  • Apple Motion and/or Adobe After Effects skills;
  • Proficiency in the use Adobe software (After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop);
  • Proven experience of professional work;
  • Ability to change a viewer’s perceptions in a compelling and informative video editing;
  • Impeccable attention to detail;
  • Strategic and tactical thinking.

 

Key elements of the video

1. Inform the viewers about the Beneficial Ownership Regime in Lebanon;

2. The video will range from one (01) to two (02) min in length;

3. It will be in Lebanese Arabic, and English subtitles will be added to it; 

4. The VO should be recorded by an experienced VO artist;

5. The deadline for producing the three videos is scheduled for end of August 2022.
