Call for Website Developer

Overview

The purpose of this project is to design and develop an informative website with the purpose of providing an overview about the Coalition for Energy Governance-PWYP Lebanon coalition’s vision, mission , objectives, members, projects, news , articles and released publications.   

Website section breakdown

The website will be a multi-page website consisting of different pages which covers a specific portion of the content.

 

The content will be distributed as follows on the different pages:

1. The homepage will cover the following content:
   1. A banner with either a fixed image or a slideshow
   2. A small brief about the coalition (to be elaborated further in the about page)
   3. A small brief about the vision, mission, strategic objectives and organizational principles
   4. A slider or grid displaying the members and partners names and logos. When a specific entity is clicked the website should redirect to a page layout dedicated for the member or partner’s details.
   5. A section displaying specific projects (to be selected at a later stage). When a specific project is clicked, the website should redirect to a page layout dedicated for this specific project.
   6. A section displaying the recent news and/or articles published. When a specific article is clicked, the website should redirect to a page layout dedicated for this specific article.

 

2. The "About" section, will contain the following:
   1. A detailed section about the coalition
   2. An elaboration about the vision, mission, strategic objectives and organizational principles that were listed on homepage
   3. The same section that is on the homepage reflecting the partners and members, which when clicked redirects to a page layout dedicated to reflect the partner or member’s details
3. The “Projects” section which shows a list of all the ongoing projects, each project has a project details page which shows all the relevant details.
4. The “Library” section which shows a list of educational documents, in the format of videos (YouTube embedded) or pdf documents.
5. The “News & Press” section which shows a list of all the articles, each article has an article details page which shows all the relevant details.
6. A career section which lists all the volunteering and vacancies available
7. A Contact us page with a contact form, where the user can select the subject from a dropdown list. The dropdown will hold different options such as: “Partner with us”, “Contact us”, “Report a complaint”, and more ...

 

Additional Requirements

1. The platform needs to support both Arabic and English languages.
2. A content management system will be provided to manipulate the content in both languages: Arabic and English
3. The website should not be built using website builders such as Wordpress, as the project is in its initial stages and might grow to include many new features. The website should be easy to scale and build on.

Technical Requirements

1. The frontend of the website should be developed using the following stack of technologies and libraries: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap,  JQuery, Javascript.
2. The website should be responsive on 3 breakdown points (Desktop screens, tablet screens and mobile phones screens)
3. The website should adapt its layout from left to right when the english language is selected, and from right to left when the arabic language is selected.
4. The backend should be developed using the Laravel PHP framework
5. The content management system should be an open source package such as Laravel Voyager or Laravel Backpack.
