2D video Animator

LTA, established in May 1999, is the National Chapter of Transparency International (TI) in Lebanon. It is the first Lebanese non-governmental organization that focuses on curbing corruption and promoting the principles of good governance.

Realizing the unacceptable levels of corruption reached in Lebanon and the need to act against it, a group of academics, lawyers, intellectuals, economists, and businesspeople joined forces to establish LTA in May 1999 in a bid to curb corruption through civil society.

The organization resorts to all appropriate means to fight corruption, improve the quality of life, and encourage civil society to take measures towards transparency and accountability.

It advocates for reform by focusing on systemic improvement and by building coalitions with other anti-corruption stakeholders, including the government, parliamentarians, the private sector, media institutions, the international community, and civil society organizations.

LTA is looking for a 2D animator for a series of 7 short explanatory videos of 35 sec (more or less).

The subject and script will be interpreted later on.

Responsibilities:

· Liaising with LTA Media & Coms Unit regarding the style, method and execution of the animation to be produced;

· Developing storyboards based on the script;

· Designing frames and characters;

· Choosing color palettes, style and general look of animation;

· Preparing illustrations or rough sketches of materials, including storyboards to assist in staff visualizing end of product during planning and development of project;

· Translating the video script from English to Arabic (subtitles).

Functional competencies:

· Very good knowledge of tools and methodologies essential to develop 2D animation;

· Knowledge of standard industry animation production processes;

· Apple Motion and/or Adobe After Effects skills;

· Proficiency in the use Adobe software (After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop);

· Great attention to details.
