Program Manager / Lebanese Advocacy And Legal Advice Center (Lalac)

The primary responsibilities of the Program Manager are to: Oversee overall management of the program in Lebanon, including the project coordinator, the advocacy campaign coordinator, legal experts and legal assistants, and volunteers.  Preparation of financial and narrative reports to funding agencies in coordination with the project coordinator and the financial manager, and ensuring that the project is implemented is in accordance with the ALAC mandate and action plan.  In liaison with the communication department: develop materials for the website and facebook, and implement the media strategy to promote the center. Organization of outreach sessions to introduce the center to Lebanese citizens in coordination with the grassroots team and communication department. In liaison with the project lawyers and advocacy campaign coordinator: produce statistics of complaints and reports diagnosing the areas of corruption in the public administration system with recommendations for reform, conduct advocacy strategies with the government, journalists and other relevant stakeholders, and ensure smooth operation of the hotline.   The Program Manager should have the following qualifications: BS/ BA or Master Degree in Political Sciences, Public Administration, International Affairs or Management. Fluency in Arabic and English. French is a plus. At least five-years of relevant experience an international organization, non-governmental organization, law firm, or public institution. Ability to write succinctly and for a non-academic audience. Commitment to transparency, good governance, and anti-corruption.
