In the framework of the “Anti-Money Laundering” project to be implemented by the Lebanese Transparency Association (LTA), a guide is required to be developed on the anti-money laundering measures for accountants in Lebanon. To that matter, LTA is looking for a research consultant with a distinguished knowledge of the local practice of Lebanese Accountancy (Including laws, policies, and procedures) who will draft and consult on the development of the paper.
Scope of Services
The key roles and responsibilities of the position are to provide the following services with strong qualitative and analytical skills:
- Writing research specifications taking into consideration the Lebanese context.
- Providing information about the accounting framework defining the modus operandi of the certified public accountants in Lebanon.
- Identifying the gaps of “The Procedures Guide” for certified public accountants in Lebanon in implementing the provision of the law on fighting money laundering (No.44/2015).
- Providing guidance and advising on the anti-money laundering measures for the accountancy sector in Lebanon.
Outputs/ Deliverables
Output 1: Conduct research on anti-money laundering measures for accountancy in Lebanon.
Output 2: Conduct the required first and/or second hand research when necessary.
Output 3: Develop a guide for the Lebanese Association for Certified Public Accountants (LACPA).

- An accountant/ Expert in accounting or auditing / Auditor.
- Bachelor degree in accountancy, auditing, Law, Public Policy, Good Governance, Social Sciences or any other related areas.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the above-mentioned areas.
- Strong knowledge in the Lebanese legal context with focus on the Lebanese Accountancy.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in Arabic and English/ French.
- Proficiency in comparative analysis.
