TEC is currently looking for a Community Development Officer reporting to the Business Development Director. This position is based in Tripoli with occasional commuting to Beirut & different Lebanese regions.
Operations Team Summary
The operation’s team is a team of reliable and decisive people equipped with experience, network of contacts, needed tools and data that work on helping TEC’s programs to start and finish all functions with a high productivity and efficiency level.
The operation’s team serves as an accountable part of TEC on overseeing and managing budgets and finances, handling operations workflow processes and staffing needs, managing inventory and supply chain management, and creating policies for the entire company to follow.
Role Summary
As Part of operation’s team, the Security assistant is responsible for establishing and implementing security policies and procedures
He/ She supervises important functions, such as providing a full security plan for the team and the office and supporting the P&L Officer in the logistics field.
He/ She is responsible for maintaining security on the ground, ensuring the safety and security of designated properties, assets, personnel, and visitors. Under direct supervision of the Operations Manager.
He/she will assure the security systems and procedures are effective and functional and will duly and timely report any concerns and exchange on security and safety related matters.
He/she will provide advice to the P&L officer on security issues in the areas of operation, ensuring that needed safety and security assessments and information gathering are conducted regularly.
Essential Job responsibilities:
Task1:
Verify that all security devices such as locks, print services, alarms, security cameras are operational or reported for repair.
Monitor staff field movements and authorize field visits.
First point of contact for field staff on safety and security concerns.
Provide regular and ad-hoc feedback on safety and security based on security ensuring prompt and clear communication on identified problems
Task2:
Ensure clear and broad communication of security guidelines, rules, regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), etc
Gather security updates and share with TEC team as needed or required
Organizing regular security meetings with the team to ensure safety in the implementation of activities.
Provide security briefing for field missions and new staff members, as required
Task3:
Maintains database records and hardcopy files used to track safety and security data
Perform other related duties upon request to support the Head of Base.
Accountability:
Reports Directly to: Operations Manager
Works Directly with operations team
External Interactions with: Suppliers, Co-workers and peers from other organizations working on similar issues.
Required Skills and Experience
Knowledge of cash management principles and/or procedures.
Knowledge of relevant security clearance procedures and protocols.
Knowledge of routine fiscal management procedures and documentation pertaining to public institutions.
Record maintenance skills.
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Organizing and coordinating skills.
Skill in utilizing building security and lock systems and procedures.
Skill in the use of computerized spreadsheet, relational database, and word processing software.
