Job Objective:
Writing, rewriting, editing and proofreading texts, reports, and press release related to humanitarian discourse.
Preparation of editorial and analytical articles, in addition to covering conferences, seminars, scientific lectures and press.
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Manage social media through the following:
- design and implement social media strategy to align with URDA goals, mission, vision, and values
- generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. photos, videos, and news..)
- monitor web traffic metrics
- communicate with followers and respond to queries in a timely manner
- oversee social media accounts design (e.g. fb timeline cover, profile pics and blog layouts)
- Liaising with journalists, reporters, and photographers in various locations
- Verifying information and story details
- Gathering and preparing routine information gathered from the humanitarian field
- Filing and archiving news and press
- Partner with our copywriting and fundraising teams to ensure URDA image maintain consistency across all channels.
Qualifications and Skills:
- University degree in media/related field
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written), French (plus)
- PC Skills
- Team work
