Proposal Writing Assistant

DESCRIPTION About URDA: In June 2012, and with the flow of Syrian refugees into Lebanon, more than 100 humanitarian committees and organizations joined efforts under the umbrella of the Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) in order to coordinate charity work in Lebanon, especially the support of Syrian refugees fleeing the plight of war and destruction in their home country. Reports to: Proposal Writing Coordinator with technical supervision from him/her. Position Summary: To provide assistance to the Proposal writing coordinator in responding to the donors’ call for proposals, & writing proposals for long-term organizational sustainability.   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Assist the proposal writing coordinator in writing concept notes, project ideas & project proposals & ensure their timely submission. Undertake independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the organization. Assist the coordinator in developing business plans to generate income from various sources. Undertake online research. Provide assistance in organizing fundraising events for the organization. Suggest other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization
