The overall objectives of the project can be summarized as follows:
- Improvement of the physical environment of 17 schools distributed along Lebanon governorates, including water and sanitation facilities.
- Improvement of the educational services for host communities hosting Syrian refugees.
- Increase access to primary, intermediate and secondary education for school age children grade 1 to 12 (students age 6 – 18 years old) with emphasis on rural areas.
- Enhance the capacity of MEHE on schools maintenance.
- Reduce the number of shifts and reduce the number of students in crowded classrooms by adding new classrooms.
- Building capacity of local contractors under several categories and using local materials, which will contribute to improving the economic conditions of the local communities.
- Contribute to the reduction of the number of unemployed people in local remote community.
