The Associate ICT Officer (Applications) contributes to the operation by providing\developing proper solutions to help solve problematic areas and tasks nationwide.

Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)
Create technical application designs by documenting process flows; mapping functional requirements to technical requirements; creating database diagrams; and creating application prototypes, where applicable.
Providing solutions for complex business requirements by developing applications using UNHCR standards, with focus on long-term support implications and expansions.
Develop and design data models, application architecture, and implementation plans for processes or systems.
Change the methodology of current applications to move it from being application being used by UNHCR internally into a platform that can be used jointly from different parties in the country.
Enhance reporting and move towards providing reports for the decision making process by adding Dash Boards, time-based comparison and analysis.
Conduct quality assurance reviews of other programmers' work to ensure good programming practice and compliance with coding standards.
Coordinate quality control activities by developing test plans, executing tests, and facilitating transition to end-users for testing and rollout.
Provide technical leadership and extensive experience in application design and development of [web/enterprise] development efforts.
Routinely deliver on fairly complex technical assignments, such as integrating third-party applications, developing complex user interfaces, applications and reports.
May serve as project leader and/or supervise other technical staff on project teams, as required.
Actively and autonomously seek to extend knowledge of new tools and technologies.
Perform other duties as required.
