Accountability (key results that will be achieved)
- Timely and successful completion of community support projects for the host communities in Lebanon.
- Monthly tracking and updates on status of all community support projects, host community and institutional support.
Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)
- Management of UNHCR Community Support Projects (CSPs), including coordination with field offices, Programme Units and sector specialists and Protection unit on social cohesion and community outreach.
- Consolidation and analysis of monthly reports and updates, and ensuring dissemination through UNHCR portal.
- Through a consultative process within the country and field visits, stay involved in the development of the community support programme strategies to support host communities.
- Assist in organizing a consultative process to ensure community support projects' are in line with UNHCR policies for the selection of implementing and operational partners.
- Maintain regular coordination with UNDP with respect to the community support program and municipal planning process.
- Prepare for CSP Program approvals and committee meetings as required.
- Assist in managing the development of a broad network of partners, good coordination practices and the development of partner capacities.
- Undertake proper collection, monitoring and use of baselines, standards and indicators needed to measure and analyse UNHCR’s performance, trends and target interventions on community support projects.
- Undertake field visits to evaluate and improve the planning, programming, implementation and monitoring of community support projects.
- Apply UNHCR’s corporate tools (e.g. Global Focus, Focus Client) to record data community and institutional led interventions and assess and generate data for evidence-based decisions at the country-level.
- Perform other duties as required.
Authority (decisions made in executing responsibilities and to achieve results)
- Provide inputs for the country operations plan (including budgets, staffing levels and structures) as well as prepare inputs for funding submissions, appeals and reports.
- Participate in the UNDP-GoL steering committee for community support programs.
- Enforce compliance with UNHCR’s global strategies, protocols and guidelines

- University degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Law, International Affairs, Economics, Social Science or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of previous job experience relevant to the function. Working in any UN agency is an advantage.
