Contribute and assist in activities that drive towards empowerment, community mobilization and participation of the various refugee groups and improve access to basic rights in the area of livelihoods. Conduct surveys, need assessments, data and information collection for the development of on-going and future proposals as well as provide technical input related to livelihood programmes. Support implementing and operational partners, local organization as well as the displaced and local communities to develop coordinated community-owned activities to address, where applicable, the social and livelihood concerns of the most vulnerable, focusing on the mobilisation of the communities including through activities in the community and vocational centres. Assist functional units, the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) and senior management to integrate participatory and community-based approaches in the overall protection delivery strategy. Support participatory assessments by MFT and ongoing consultation with persons of concern. Liaise on a regular basis with the refugee community outreach workers and committees, as well as other groups, with the aim to assist them in identifying their own needs, establishing priorities and meeting these needs. Ensure that all programmes implemented are in line with operational strategy and technical requirements. Ensure the relevance of livelihood and capacity building/vocational programmes vis-à-vis the needs on the ground and establishing a linkage between such programmes and the support and assistance to persons with special needs (incl. single women, survivors of GBV and disabled refugees). Establish ways to build capacity and support community based groups as well as other refugee associations and CBOs in the area of income generation activities. Promote community based approaches to livelihoods as well as mainstreaming gender, age and diversity ensuring their timely and effective implementation. Conducting regular field visits to verify quality and progress of livelihood program interventions as well as provide technical guidance and advice. Draft and type routine correspondence, documents and reports using word processing equipment and maintain up-to-date filing systems. Contribute to the regular reporting requirements on community services related issues. Perform other duties as required.
