Deputy General Supervisor - MSA014 - Beirut, Lebanon

  • Analyze all information regarding the status and needs of the forcibly displaced Syrians in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and other UN agencies to continuously improve LCRP's programming.
  • Ensure that weekly operational plans set out by the regional coordinators are in accordance with overall project objectives, KPIs, identified outputs, and timeframes.
  • Design LCRP activities in the SDCs in close coordination with the General Supervisor, MoSA staff, and UNHCR.
  • Develop work plans and SOPs, and ensure that LCRP operations and outputs are delivered on target and in accordance with MoSA’s strategy and policy.
  • Oversee the development and the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation system of project activities according to a settled time-frame.
  • Responsible for ensuring that design and standardization of forms, questionnaires and other templates used to document the LCRPs operations, and activities in the field meet the project needs, in liaison with the MoSA M&E team.
  • Contribute to the development of harmonized monitoring, evaluation and reporting tools and procedures.
  • Coordinate and oversee entry of relevant data into the project database, verify the accuracy of inputted data, ensure the filing system is updated and include database information in periodic project reports.
  • Coordinate timely implementation of all aspects of the project with particular emphasis on specific activities described in the project document such as capacity building activities, social and environmental management, community development, monitoring and evaluation; and resource-sharing.
  • Coordinate project procurement and logistics activities with administrative support personnel.
  • Support information dissemination activities and advocate for the project among key stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the project staff in order to facilitate the exchange of information, discussion and response to challenges and to identify lessons learned.
  • Participate in the coordination meetings between relevant agencies.
  • Prepare the project quarterly report;
  • Perform other tasks requested by the General Supervisor.

University Degree in Political science, Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Relations, international and diplomatic affairs or any other related field. Master's Degree is a plus.
5+ years of relevant experience at the national or international level in Emergency and humanitarian programmes and/or projects or related field.
Strong knowledge in international humanitarian law is required; current protection trends, debates and challenges in the field of protection for Lebanese and Syrian displaced including civil documents.
Sound knowledge and previous collaboration with different organization’s standing active in public policies, strategic planning and advocacy field.
Experience with, or sound theoretical and applied knowledge of the UN systems will be a strong asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
Proficiency in the use of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic working environment.
Ability to cope and work under pressure.
