Internship - Legal Department

Provide counselling to asylum seekers and refugees on legal issues including residence in Lebanon and security related problems/incidents Coordinate with implementing partners (IP) in order to assist asylum seekers and refugees in obtaining residence, work permit or other legal document Provide updates on court cases of refugees and asylum seekers to different units in the office. Liaise with the lawyers on cases represented Update the office on any legal or political development which has an impact on refugees and asylum seekers Assist the office in its advocacy efforts to amend the 2003 MOU signed with the government. Undertake legal research in this respect as required. Contribute to the preparation of monthly situation report on the services provided by the Unit Legal research on specific topics. Data Entry of legal services provided. Update of data on persons of concern in detention Undertake other duties as required by the head of unit.
