Page 2 2.2 FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT Describe the accountabilities, responsibilities and authorities associated with the position Accountability (key results that will be achieved) - Proactively work to support and assist the mass communication activities and material Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results) Under the guidance of the Mass Communication Officer and the Community Services Officer and the overall supervision of the Operation Office, the Intern will perform the following tasks: For mass communication - Help create and disseminate information material (brochures, leaflets, videos) according to the needs of the UNHCR operations - Assist in the interagency mapping compilation of all information activities in Lebanon - Support with translation into Arabic of information material - Support with the development and administration of the UNHCR website dedicated to refugees - Perform other duties as requested. For community services - Help compile reports and systematization forms on participatory assessments (focus group discussions with refugees) from field offices; participate in the analysis of the findings - Assist in obtaining updated information on numbers of community centers and outreach volunteers, as well as related reports. Regularly update maps with this information in coordination with information management. - Assistant in the compilation of reports received from refugee outreach volunteers through the 4 field locations. - Perform other duties as requested. The intern will divided his/her tasks equally between community services and mass communication functions

2.4 ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Define the educational background, the relevant job experience and the language(s) that are essential to perform the work of the position.
- University Degree, preferably in mass communication and information; Applicants must have an excellent knowledge of English and Arabic with advanced written and verbal skills.
2.5 DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES. Describe any experience or knowledge that would be an asset, such as: UNHCR Learning Programmes, other training, additional languages, Field/HQs experience, etc.
