Accountability  The reception and counselling of asylum-seekers and refugees in accordance with UNHCR policies and standards  The identification of vulnerable asylum-seekers and refugees;  The management of expectations of asylum-seekers and refugees. Responsibility: Counsel/explain to applicants the Iris Scanning procedures and their implications; 1. Conduct Iris scanning of applicants in UNHCR as part of the registration procedures. 2. Refer cases of double-registration according to the system in place; 3. Remain informed of any new procedures/processes relevant to their daily tasks 5. Identify persons of concern and organize their entry into UNHCR premises 6. Identify and fast-track persons with specific protection needs. 7. Coordinate with security team on the management of orderly entry into the building, and reporting security incidents where applicable; 8. Counsel refugees and asylum-seekers, providing them with information at reception and in waiting areas, including assistance with completion of application forms; 9. Any other duty as may be required. Authority  Control and organize access to UNHCR premises; referral to reception desks for follow-up.
